They were still amazing just yesterday, and now it's 2018. Well worth the money. One of the satellites just died today, so I need to replace them after almost 20 years. I don't know if I'll ever find another set of speakers as good as these were. I never had to turn the volume knob more than a third of the way up, and the bass would rock my whole house with its knob at only three quarters of the way up. The sound quality at ear splitting volume levels is not nearly as good as a good home stereo, and the bass tends to get muddy at high continuous levels, BUT you don't normally turn your computer up that loud since you sit in front of it.
