Warranty is not transferable. We recommend the use of BOSTITCH winter formula air tool lubricant or permanent antifreeze (ethylene glycol) as a cold weather lubricant. Pull pusher assembly back to engage pusher to strip of nails. Tool is now ready to operate. NOTE: Use only nails recommended for use in BOSTITCH MIII nailers or nails which meet the BOSTITCH specifications.Use a small amount of oil on all moving surfaces and pivots. After reassembly add a few drops of BOSTITCH Air Tool Lubricant through the air line fitting before testing. Assemble cap using four socket head cap screws and replace exhaust deflectors. MIIIFS TO REPLACE WEAR PLATE OR BLADE GUIDE: 1. Seperate the magazine from the nose by removing four socket head cap screws. Pneumatic power drives nails and cleats into the wood surface quickly and efficiently. Depend on this Hardwood Flooring Cleat Nailer Kit for stability and a compfortable grip. The large size can damage the tongue and may also de-laminate the upper layers of the flooring causing dimpling of the finished product. However, some laminate flooring manufacturers have tested the MIII tools and have determined that they may be used on their products.Can I purchase this part to upgrade an older model MIII?The downside of this design is that the pusher assembly is not able to fully engage the last three cleats to the front nose thus the last three cleats lose the spring tension that keeps them from moving out of position. If the fastener shifts, the driver may miss or jam the fastener. The best way to avoid this is to re-load additional cleats before you are out.Are there any special tools for these models?This can be ordered as part number BC1009. The MIII812CNCT concrete nailers will use the BC1009 as well, and a wrench, part number BC855 that will aide in removing the poppet screws. For bamboo flooring you have to lower your PSI, in my case it was 85 PSI; start low, say 75 PSI and keep increasing the PSI until the staple is flushed with the tongue of the hardwood (use scrap for this testing). If you do not want to use this, or do not have it, or want to get close to the wall, then tape (blue painter's tape) all sharp points of the tool including the bottom shoe and voila no scratching of your new installed floor. Also, make sure you lubricate it.This stapler is very well designed ergonomically and mechanically. The mallet is big and somewhat massive in weight but there is a purpose in that. It takes very little effort and just a slight tap to drive a staple because it is pneumatic. So if a board lays nice and straight, then a slight tap will suffice, but if you have a somewhat uncooperative piece of flooring, then you will appreciate the heft of the mallet because it will cause the most finicky of boards to come together and lay tightly. The handle is long and fits well in your hand. Consequently your not bent over as much. My first floor laid was oak and I've started my second which is brazillian cherry. This wood is extremely heavy and dense. This stapler does not care how hard the wood is, it just works and flawlessly at that. After all isn't that what you want from a tool, flawless performance!They recommended a stapler and not the nailer indicating it would do a better job of fastening the floor resulting in fewer squeaks over the years. I also intend to use the stapler on another project of about 750 sq ft. The Bostitch stapler did a wonderful job. The pre-finished flooring foot worked perfectly. I had no jams and every staple was driven home. The tool was easy to use and due to the pneumatic action allowed for operations in tighter areas. You can actually come straight down on the actuator when near a wall providing you have pre-seated the flooring. I used wedges during the last few rows. Of course it's impossible to get right up to a wall when finishing. This is a pneumatic tool and requires lubrication. I provided a drop of oil each day of use. Amazon two day shipping was on time.

If you don't, you will end up with a staple in the top of your wood. We had a few mishaps but, once we realized what happened, things went smoothly for the rest of the job. I would highly recommend this product.Pulls the boards in tight and flat to the floor and didn't damage the tongues. Never had a jam, although if you don't have it seated and firmly planted on the floor, you may get a staple that doesn't go all the way through. Used a Dremel to cut the staple and then restapled. Smaller than that I'd say you may have to do two rows. All in all, I would definitely buy and use this tool again.It wasn't clear to me from the description whether the stapler came with the Finished Floor Adapter foot but it does. I was constantly taking the Mastercraft nailer apart to undo a jam even though I was good Paslode or Bostitch nails so wasted a bunch of time. Thus far I've been through 3,000 staples and there's been no difficulty with the Bostitch at all. I've laid flooring before so not a total novice but the stapler is very easy to use so a beginner would have no problem. It doesn't come with the flooring stapler. Otherwise, a great tool for those who don't want to use a compressor. Ive only used the air powered cleat nailers before, and plan on getting something pneaumatic ( heard to many horror stories about using the manual nailers). So what would you guys recommend, cleat nailer or stapler ( for example bostitch MIIIFN vs MIIIFS).A brisk tap is all that is required, not a full hammer blow. Your foot still pushes the pedal down, but the vacuum assist does most of the work. In this area at least, all the floor guys use the Bostitch Mark III stapler. Porta-Nailer) Hopefully itll all work out. Next chance you get, you should try one out. Better try out two so you can have one for your helper ( since your gonna buy him his own Max framer to use).:) IMO the stapler will hold better (two legs compared to one clete) and also a little thiner, less chance of splitting wood. Gotta get the cardiac workout occasionally somehow. The only jams I've ever had were from not striking hard enough. Omly use it once or twice a year but it'll make a good door stop meantime. Then it was out with the hammer and punch (if I was lucky) or the Dremel to saw the thing off (if I wasn't). What a nuisance! It was a lot of work for my first floor job and I eventually realized it was ok to swing the mallet with two hands and I didn't have to impress myself. I didn't have a big problem with jams. An amazing difference, much easier. It almost makes nailing flooring down fun, especially compared to the old way. The cleats work well on standard oak, but still split some tongues on hard maple flooring. I learned not to nail too close to the edge of the board, and to squirt a little wood glue in the tongue on the splits. The nailer leaks a little and the pounding tends to loosen up the bolts holding down the shoe, but it still works fine.

The Powernail 50F is an excellent option for you. It's scheduled for release this week, and should be available on Nail Gun Depot shortly thereafter. Can you nail down a floating floor? Depending on your subfloor material, a flooring nailer can be used to install floating floor (the Powernail 2000F is a great tool for the job). However, if you're looking to do spot repair, a flooring nailer is probably not going to be much help. Which cleat type, guage and length would you recommend. What nailer would you recommend. I do have a commercial grade compressor but also would consider an electric model. The nail length will be determined by the floor material manufacturer, so we can't recommend that. As for the tool, we recommend the Powernail 18-gauge Pneumatic flooring nailer, which takes L-shaped flooring nails. The Powernail is suited for engineered flooring. And power nailer brand should i purchase. Saw in google the top is DEWALT dwfp12569. Any suggestions? And will galvanized nails corrode in the long run.Will use this in Manila, Philippines. Call Stanley-Bostitch Customer Service at 800-556-6696 with the appropriate model number and one will be sent to you.To drain the oil, remove the drain screw and dipstick and allow the oil to drain until the oil no longer flows. (Most Stanley-Bostitch portable compressors have approximately 6 to 7 ounces of oil so this process will not take long). Replace the drain screw (be sure not to over-tighten) and add fresh oil in the top of the crankcase at the dipstick hole. Check the oil level with the dipstick often; it is full when the oil level reaches the notched area on the dipstick. If too much oil is added, it mut be drained to proper levels.These are used both for relieving pressure from the tanks at the end of the day, and to expel the water that builds up due to normal condensation. Allow the compressor to run up to top pressure and shut off automatically. In normal conditions, you may then shut the compressor switch off and open the drain valves. The air pressure that is released will carry excess water out of the tanks. (Note: Open these valves outside; as any rust or oil buildup will be expelled as well, and can cause staining to floors or carpets.) In extreme circumstances, where a lot of water has built up, leave the compressor switch on, so that it will kick on and and continue to pump pressure until the water stops draining.
