Also, associate at the dealer was slow to provide information about the car resulting in someone else getting it before I could go look at it.They have unethical business practices and the person I dealt with. Jack, was extremely rude. As a consumer, I know that a dealer cannot add additional fees This place is the reason people don't like car dealers. Very unprofessional. Not even a. Of course Tiara is the one making appointments whom I spoke to on the phone. The bumper was damaged all exposed surfaces Once the engine started there was a After seeing the MDX in such bad shape I Do not understand why this vehicle was on the lot in poor viewing No pressure to call or purchase the truck It was a great experience and I recommend Falveys for a friend Was able to do the entire deal online He did respond promptly to my texts. Thank you! I Great deal, great service. He was upfront on all of the details on the car. Dan did not pressure and gave a good overview of work and repairs that were done on the vehicle prior to sale. The lady in the office who handled the purchase transaction was polite, friendly and explained the process very well. I would readily do business with them again. I also noted that all of the vehicles on his lot were very good, quality vehicles. A class act. Knowledgeable of products on their lot. I enjoyed visiting and test driving the vehicle. I would return to shop for a automobile and feel that I would get a vehicle with good value at a great price. Went above and beyond to meet all of my needs. Would highly recommend:) When I visited the car I was disappointed - they didn’t even clean the car. Filthy inside and out. Also, no one walked me out to the car- just pointed in the direction where it was parked. Excellent customer service He was very professional and helpful. Nothing else. I dont know if it sold or he just didn't want to tell me the closing fees. Either way pretty crappy service.

I was seriously considering purchasing the vehicle but that definitely didn't work out. It was a great experience. I did a lot of research so I knew what kind of car I wanted. I kept checking CarGurus until the right one showed up. The dealer was so helpful and nice not pushy at all. He let us take our time to decide. We were able to purchase this car the next day with Jason covering for Edwil. They listen to your needs It’s slotted below the Golf hatchback, despite their similar capabilities and features. The current lineup consists of two turbo 4-cylinders matched with front-wheel drive (FWD). The Jetta was introduced in the United States for 1980 and was last redesigned for 2019. There are new standard and available features for 2020. CarGurus recently evaluated and scored the Jetta at 8.2 (2019). It’s spacious in both rows, with plenty of room for adults in the back, which isn’t always the case with a compact sedan. Technology features are gracefully integrated into the cabin design within easy reach of the driver and are easy to use. And though the cabin is attractive and comfortable, there are some hard plastics throughout, which detract from the overall look and feel. The base powertrain is a 1.4-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, good for 147 horsepower. This comes standard in S, SE, R-Line, SEL, and SEL Premium trims. GLI versions get a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder rated at 228 hp as well as sportier handling. A 6-speed manual transmission comes standard in S, R-Line, and GLI trims, while an 8-speed automatic comes standard in the remaining trims and is available as an option on manual-equipped models. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard across the line.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recall records, common quality issues include airbag problems, potential to remove the key from the ignition while the vehicle is not in park, suspension component fractures, leaky fuel supply and injection lines, leaky transmission oil cooler, wiring problems, water pump and timing belt failure, poor headlight quality, and loss of power brakes. Trims included the S, SE, and SEL, as well as the intermittently offered Value Edition, Wolfsburg Edition, and sporty GLI. The turbo-diesel offered the best fuel economy. NHTSA data for this generation shows common problems such as water pump and timing belt failure, leaky fuel supply and injection lines, faulty driveshaft screws, poorly aimed headlights, leaky washer fluid reservoir and lines, transmission failure, ABS failure, and airbag inflator issues. Engine offerings over these years included a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder, a turbocharged 1.8-liter 4-cylinder, a 1.9-liter turbo-diesel (known as the TDI), and a 2.8-liter V6 (known as the VR6). Trim levels generally corresponded to engine choice, though there was a lot of overlap. The generation featured FWD standard and the choice of a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission. In mid-2005, the next generation was rolled out, sold alongside this generation. Fuel economy was best with the turbo-diesel, getting as much as 38 mpg combined. The 2.0-liter 4-cylinder and 1.8-liter turbo-4 with auto transmissions were rated at 24 and 22 mpg combined, respectively. According to NHTSA, this generation was prone to recalls including water pump and timing belt failure, brake light switch malfunction, faulty marking of child seat anchors, antilock brake computer failure, brake master cylinder leakage, faulty air bag inflators, and fuel leakage in turbo-diesel models. Both cars compete in the compact segment, against class-leading rivals such as the Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, and Mazda Mazda3.
Other cars worth considering in this segment include the Hyundai Elantra and Veloster, Chevrolet Cruze, and Kia Soul. There are also the Jetta Crossbreed (in SE, SEL, and SEL High-quality trim levels) as accurately as the performance-focused Jetta GLI (in SE and SEL trim levels). A 5-velocity handbook transmission is regular, and a 6-velocity automated is optionally available. The SE becomes the same transmission options as the reduced trims, while the SE with Comfort or Menu deals and the SEL are automated-only.A rearview camera is contained in SEL and TDI models. The Jetta's easy, practical gauges and dash might be evaluated possibly with respect to the times when German styles centered on the job of driving and small different. Or as simply right behind-the-occasions. For individuals who think simpleness is very best, the look at from the Jetta's driver's seat is going to be a pleasure.
This year, a revision to the tool group much better sets apart the two first dials and a redesign of the environment regulates, which sit down lower in the middle dash, ensures they are simpler to see and modify. But it's difficult to assess even the optionally available touchscreen infotainment user interface as anything at all but searching out-of-date and little in the Jetta's or else pleasingly uncluttered dash. Because of not a lot more cash, the progress to the Jetta SE cut not just provides a significant rise in gear but, most importantly, the beautifully smooth and fulfilling 1.8-liter turbocharged 4-tube engine. It becomes much better energy economy, and you'll say thanks to yourself on each and every freeway blend or lengthy uphill quality. The same can be stated of the Jetta Crossbreed. However, in each instance, you will need to push for a while to find out the payback. Design Overview Clean lines, fun times. The past generation has lacked any sense of personality or driver enthusiasm. Not to say it was a bad car, but more so a car for people that couldn’t be bothered looking elsewhere. Now though, Volkswagen has made some subtle changes for its mid-cycle 2015 refresh that gives an even more business-like, grown up attitude. VW cleaned up the Jetta’s lines giving a more attractive grille, a slightly new front bumper, and finished off with a good looking set of taillights. Our sampled Jetta was the top trim SEL TDI model that offered attractive 17” alloy wheels that gave it a sharp stance against its rather generic Reflex Silver Metallic paint.
This package adds a premium touch of swiveling Adaptive Bi-Xenon headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights and new advance safety features like Blind Spot Detection, Forward Collision Alert, and Rear-Cross Traffic Alert. This puts the Jetta in a new league of compact sedans since not many on the market offer these kinds of options. Included in this mid-cycle update is the re-engineered 2.0-liter turbo diesel four-cylinder engine. And when you start reading down the mechanical specifications on the Jetta TDI, it sounds just as entertaining as a Tax Auditors day at the office. But like any Auditor, after a few wine coolers, they suddenly become the life of the party. This should give you a little insight to what the Jetta TDI is all about. The torque now comes in sooner at roughly 1,750 RPM’s which then carries you to 60 mph in just under 8 seconds through a silky smooth six-speed manual transmission. With a diesel of this caliper, the manual is the best way to go optimizing the most thrills, while maximizing efficiency. A six-speed automatic is available for those that lack all sorts of enthusiasm. The handling is decently firm, giving you a good feel through the corners and the road. The leather wrapped steering is receptive with a good range of feedback. And the eager to please suspension is relatively smooth. Engineers have been working desperately hard to tone down the robust, farmyard sounds that diesels used to emit. This new diesel is relatively quiet, yet still noticeable from inside the cabin and with the going gets quick, the vibrations are quite loud from behind the dash. These subtle but drastic changes give the Jetta a more upscale premium Audi-esc feel. The new steering wheel is much more user friendly and is well laid out for functionality. The Jetta is still offered with a black leatherette interior that is comfortable for long distance hauls and continues to offer best in class rear leg room.
Our top trimmed SEL model bumped up the comfort amenities with heated seats, power adjustable driver seat, dual-zone climate control, premium Fender audio system, back-up Camera and Navigation.VW fitted automatic shutters to optimize the most fuel efficiency and the results are staggering. We averaged much better with 42 city and 49 highway with a hefty fuel range of 600 miles. But so is a standard hybrid, and their fuel numbers don’t quite match up to what the Jetta TDI can do. So we’ll let you be the judge of its value for cost. I think the new Golf has moved to a torsion beam due to some kind of packaging change, cannot recall what this Jetta has. I like the TDI’s because of the MPG, just the price of diesel in Cali means what you make in MPG you often lose at the pump. If the diesel was the same as regular would be very nice. Nicer still if VW ever bring the GTD to the US. This was just a minor cosmetic update. The new Golf is fantastic. One of the best cars I’ve driven. As a MkVI GTI owner I sorely tempted to trade up but thinking of going for a RWD car next time, mostly likely used. Suspect once I do sell the GTI I will regret it, it has been a great car, swiss army knife and very comfortable. Notify me of new posts via email. Learn how your comment data is processed.
