The integrated hopper design is actually pretty cool, but gets annoying. It'll get the job. Doesn't look like a paintball marker; rather a toy. It'll get the job done. Between this in the Talon; go with this. Its usually cheaper, and the Talon hopper is ridiculous crap. The company that was a good brand when paintball was in its infancy, who brought out the very first Angel should not be making this. It doesn't matter how many cool concepts. Not to mention the low quality control makes this gun inconsistent. I would say most pranksters who go around shooting paintballs on the streets would think of buying this because of its price but even those hooligans might look for better markers. To be fair, this gun has its good side. The integrated hopper means you can aim your sight directly over the gun. Too bad the hopper is not horizontal, making aiming more difficult than necessary. On the other hand, the dual cartridge CO2 source is rather cool. I don't find any fault in it. Had Brass Eagle put more quality behind these concepts they might actually have something going for them. Make it a true metal gun with an integrated horizontal (almost pod-shaped) hopper, you can make a plastic ramp inside the hopper to make sure the balls fall where they should. You can even add little stubs to the top of the hoppers to act as sights. With the internet you can sell those easily. Then again, the pump market is probably a fraction of the semi-auto market, and is probably not big enough for Brass Eagle to invest that much in a risky concept. Appearance: it looks like a toy, but it can still hurt you. Goggles on. Performance: i am inclined to say it doesn't exist, but it does shoot paintballs far enough.

I would sneak in an extra few yards before shooting if I get the chance. Reliability: this gun is not reliable, but at least it's a pump, so you won't pinch a ball. Value: no. it is bound to break sooner or later. If this is for your child's first gun, consider something like a Spyder or a Tippmann. If he wants a pump gun get him a Phantom. Only get this gun if you only plan to play once or twice, or if you want to challenge yourself either in skills or in tinkering. Supervise that kid. It has been painted black it was originally red, if you wanted you might be able to strip off the black paint but it doesn't affect how it works.
