I added a Hitachi framing nailer, which is a bit air hungry, but the compressor supplied it adequately. The compressor is noisy -- high pitched and tinny with a bit of a ring to it when it shuts off, pretty unpleasant to listen to. But it's small and portable (and inexpensive), and that's the more important factor for consideration, right. However, after about 6 to 7 months in service, the air regulator failed and required service. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but the red adjustment knob felt as though it wasn't engaging anything internally, and I could no longer adjust pressure. It required service, and Bostitch directed me to a near-by service center, which unfortunately took a couple of months to return the unit to me. Any other compressor could have used an off-the-shelf regulator, but with all the molded plastic on this one, I think I was stuck with special parts. (It's not really pertinent to this review that I bought a different compressor, and gave the repaired Bostitch to my dad, who appreciates it though doesn't use it much.) The nailer and staplers that come with have been reliable performers, and as a combo kit, I'd still recommend this for moderate-duty use around the home with little hesitation, though for anyone earning a living off of these tools, a compressor with standard issue gauges, regulator and connector might be a safer choice if a repair is needed quickly.Please try again later. Not a big deal since there were no instructions on what to do with it. With everything out of the box, I checked the box once more for leftovers. I traced the bolt to the plastic housing. Again, it looks to be stripped out when it was put together. The handle was what was left of the drain cock on the bottom of the tank. It had snapped off in shipping. Dang it! What a hassle for such stupid stuff. I can open it with pliers.I want to use this thing, not waste a few weeks returning it and hoping for better luck. The tank and the guns work well. I tested each to make sure before I decide what to do about the damage. The hose is pretty cheap, but it works. I ordered the Good Year replacement hose with the tank, but it hasn't arrived yet.
