The item arrived in an extremely small box, neatly packaged and with everything intact. It simply clicks into place and takes minutes to assemble. The first outing was a success. It cut neatly and efficiently with minimum effort and has done so throughout the Summer - I have yet to have to change the 'wire' thing either (luck?). In any event, I've found this to be a great buy and, whilst not the highest tech or spec, it's serving it's purpose admirably well and has already more than paid for itself - on this basis alone it deserves five stars from me. Well packaged with excellent Amazon delivery too.Sadly I was mistaken. Totally useless, complete waste of money and I wish I hadn't bought it.The old model seemed sturdier and had a much longer cable. The new model does not seem as well made or designed. The painted shaft is showing scratches after one use. Some features may be better, but short cuts appear to have been made, and not by me.My only gripe is the lock mechanism doesn't seem to work too well for the spool of wire. I have attached a photo of the wire the strimmer shot out around the garden on the first go. I kept checking if the mechanism was locked and it was. So not sure if this is an attempt to sell more nylon cable or an issue with design. I'm going to switch regardless to metal wire as apparently it's much better.
