But because I have to run at half to full throttle a lot more than with my other foamies, the flight time is poor (about 8 to 10 minutes), and I'm not sure about the lifetime of my TP 730s. Even if it was another 4 ounces, if the wing area was increase by about 25, it would still fly very well. MalcolmI to agree that it isn't exactly a 3D machine with the recommended setup. Doesn't increase weight too much, and still flies great.I did the 370 and did not like it.They was not much notice between the 2 as far as wing load. Can creep tp crawl on landing.I have broke mine two times but with a small amount of ca and she is still going if you look on page 3 of this thread I started with a 480 and a 730 for weight.I still like the lite setup but get more run time on the 910 and can do anything in the book at this weight. Well, about the batteries, I made the first flight with the 1320, because that was I had in hands. My motor worked only for 9 minutes. So, I will keep the 1320 and my Byp its flying very ligth anyway. I my field I have a lot of wind in this time of the year and the extra weight will help me to keep the control in outdoors. But I like to say thanks to everybody who helped me.I still have 6 3s 400s will they be ok, i know about lack of duration ect. On my Castle Creations 10 ESC. What Settings should I put it on, With the hyperion motor, it seems to leave loads of Juice in batt once it cuts engine. Have it set for the Default Auto Cut Off. I will tell you what happened: So i bought this plane last Friday night and started to build the plane at around 8:45pm. I stopped working at 11:45pm. The next morning all i had to do is put in the pull-pull and the aileron control rods. That took me a total of only 30minutes to do. Oh BTW: I had a hacker a20-34s with a castle creations phonix 10amp esc, and then i went outside in front of my house in my coldasac and flew it. After about 2 minutes, the motor wuit. I landed safetly somehow in the tiny space, and i felt that the motor was very very very very hot. I never had seen or felt a (BRUSHLESS) motor get that HOT. I took it inside and saw that my ESC was burnt. So then i quickly put a 20amp eflite ESC, and a Eflite 370 outrunner motor since i already had one. And i have to say that the eflite motors are pretty good for their price. So i dont recomend the hacker motor unless you want to put in a bigger ESC. Also it seems like i don't have too much power. Its not like it stalls, but it seems that it is set-up more for indoors, and now durring this season i dont like to fly indoors, I rather fly out. I first used a 10X4.3 because the book says that thats the prop QQ uses in competitions, which is probably good for indoors.All rights reserved. The plane design itself is ok. Heck it's just a few peices of foam. But Great Planes has gone out of their way with the flatouts to create the biggest peices of crap I've ever seen. The foam is so brittle and CA just destroys it. They come with plenty of carbon fiber and that's their only saving grace. When you are done kicking the plane for breaking every time you land it you can strip the CF rods out of the plane and use them elsewhere. Also the break away hinges that they tout are the biggest design flaw of them all.
Super brittle plastic that most likely will break when you are building it. Don't even bother flying on the brushed geared setup cause it just sucks. They fly decent on the recommended brushless setup. Honestly they just made an over complicated incredibly brittle foamy. Those are 2 things that should never go together. Not all CA is harmful to foam. Even using the recommended glue in the manual the connection points become extremely brittle. As far as other kits go.It stalled very violently (that is how mine came to a very untimely demise). The foam is very brittle and snaps even with a rough landing. The whole plan for the control surfaces to pop off in a crash is total bull. First, the surfaces would snap and break in a crash. Second, if all the hinges don't break during construction they would in the crash; again, very brittle. The plane had some good innovative ideas.Not all CA is harmful to foam. I personally flew the Insane Foamies sypher, good bipe foamy but indoors. Now I have the E-Flite Extra 260. I love this little guy, it flys soo good and its a breeze to put together. Could have replaced full door bell but liked the chimes on the old one so this allowed me to keep it going for a while longer It is not robust inough to withstand the weather there is no rubber gasket between the two plastic pieces that clip the door bell together which is dissapointing. I would not recomend this doorbell switch. I only repurchased this as the customer wanted it. I couldn't return the original full kit because the receipt had been lost and screwfix wouldn't accept it. I'll keep my fingers crossed with this one, but I'm not very confident. All was not lost, my local sore agreed a refund. Chime selection worked so push button had failed. Screwfix On line click and collect was ready in five minutes. I have had to drill a hole in the cover to put a screw through and into the doorpost to stop a reoccurrence of it being nicked by the kids.
