The subwoofer thumped out the low end and the satellites projected the high end and I lunged for the volume to turn it down. (Luckily, the subwoofer has a separate level control from the satellites.) I had no idea that something that small could be so powerful. The BA635 was every bit as impressive as, but a lot less expensive than, my BOSE speakers and Nakamichi receiver. But if hi-fi is your motive, you can't do better than to have neat gizmos like BA's 32-bit wavetable-based stereo sound card, a good set of speakers with a separate subwoofer for better bass, and 3-D surround sound. One of the reasons this system sounds so good is that all units are MagnaGuard shielded.
