Some of the notable differences include integration with the Xbox 360, wireless Zune-to-Zune sharing, and portable gaming capability. The Zune is quickly gaining popularity in comparison to Apple's iPod models. Check Your System Before using your Zune player with your PC, it's a good idea to make sure your system meets the minimum requirements. Here are the current minimum PC requirements for the Microsoft Zune: Microsoft Windows 7 (all versions), Windows Vista (all versions), Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (Home, Professional, Tablet PC, or Media Center Edition 2005 with Rollup Update 2), or Mac OS X with Boot Camp running a supported Windows operating system. At least a 500Mhz Pentium class processor. At least 256 megabytes RAM. At least 200 MB free hard disk space. A CD or DVD drive. Internet access is required to buy songs and videos. A 16-bit sound card or better. Press it to play or pause your current song or video. If you press and hold the button, it turns the Zune off or on. All your other controls are located on the Zune pad in the center. Moving your finger up the pad increases the volume. Moving your finger down the pad lowers the volume. Moving left will scroll backwards through media library while moving right scrolls forward. The faster your move your finger across the pad, the faster it scrolls through your library.

It's important to note that when you're watching video on the Zune, it goes from portrait to landscape orientation automatically. Fortunately, the Zune rotates the Zune pad as well so that the controls still work the same way. Other features on the Zune include a hold switch to lock your Zune, a headphone minijack and a connector port to sync your Zune with your PC. Getting Connected First connect your Zune to your PC using the included cable. The Zune software launches and automatically scans for music, videos, pictures, apps, podcasts and channels that it can use. You have three choices for syncing your Zune with your PC. As your movie and video collection grows, you can always repeat this process to add files on your PC to your Zune or files on your Zune to your PC. This major player hooks up with innovative discovery features like Buy from FM and wireless sharing, so you never stop gobbling tunes. It holds up to 30,000 songs, 25,000 pictures, or 375 hours of video. Watch a demo on Zune.To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness. Please try again later. It stored and played all my music without issues for year after year. Then one day, it died. Nope, no indication the battery was dead, no indication or warning there was an issue. One day I went to turn it on and it never came back from the dead. Now over the years since, I have purchased an iPod Classic, a ZUNE HD and was very happy with both, but I wanted the touch and feel of my old ZUNE. So I bought one from Amazon that was refurbished with 120 GB of storage. Yep, it’s a ZUNE all right. Problem 1) Software. You really need to dig around the internet to find a copy of the ZUNE desktop software. I found several copies but only one has worked. So I am happy about that, I can at least load music onto the player. Problem 2) Forget trying to load video. Everything I have tried fails. Nothing seems to work that the ZUNE will recognize. Problem 3) Forget getting a case, cover, wallet for the ZUNE. Zune has been off the market for so long even eBay does not carry a reasonable selection, if at all, of protection for the ZUNE. The iPod Classic still has cover, cases, wallets available from eBay and Amazon. Like 1) I have enough storage to put my whole library on the ZUNE and have GB to spare. Like 2) Battery life is excellent. I can go two days playing music and still not need a charge. (My ZUNE came with a new battery.) Like 3) If you like the way a ZUNE operates from prior ZUNE's, you will have little learning to be up and running.
Neither Problem or Like 1) When comparing the ZUNE against an iPod Classic, I must side with both MP3 players. Both have their own set of pros, cons, both are very well made, and both are about the same price from the refurbished market. Summary. If you like the ZUNE and willing to put up with a limited selection and none existent cases, go with the ZUNE. If on the other hand you like the iPod Classic, go with it. You have a better selection of refurbished iPods than ZUNE.It's only competitor really being the IPod Classic. I love the design and feel of the Zune. It arrived with headphones, a silicon case and all the contents that you'd generally find with the packaging such as the booklet, instructions and such. Today, my Zune is around 4 years old and still functions better than any piece of technology that I own. Even though Microsoft has discontinued it's production, it's a great piece of technology and I'd highly recommend it to anyone with a big collection of digital music. The Zune is very durable and is very promising in terms of it's longevity. Why? I love them. I'm afraid I won't be able to get them any more. I struggled with the first ipods because of that stupid wheel. It also has this nifty little feature that ipod still hasn't figured out. Ready.here's what I do. I start a great big shuffle of every song on my Zune (roughly 16000). It goes on for days, sometimes weeks. But let's say I or a friend really wants to hear a particular song. It inserts that song as the very next song but doesn't disrupt my shuffle. Brilliant! I've read reviews on some pretty serious tech sites who agreed with me. This product was far superior to the ipod.they were just too late to the game. Oh yeah, the Zune software is SO MUCH EASIER to use than iTunes. But they don't make Zune anymore. Sigh.
Older iPods were all I could find with greater capacity so I had a shot at putting my entire CD collection (in the form of mp3, 128kbs), onto one portable unit as I had been able to years ago with a similar device made by Toshiba, which has since ceased to function. Not wanting to spend or settle on an iPod, I looked harder at a refurbished Zune from PiratePT. At first, I was unable to get it to work. There also appeared to be some kind of conflict with RealDownloader, part of RealPlayer. Neither was running, but I was being told I needed to shut it down to allow the device to sync. I couldn't shut down conflicting software that wasn't running, so that didn't work. I removed Real and all its software, but it still wouldn't sync without erroring out. I called Jim at PiratePT Electronics and he walked me through several attempts to correct things. What finally appears to have fixed it, if not a combination of the former and also resetting the Zune device, was moving it from being connected to a USB 2.0 port that worked fine with an SD Card reader to a USB 3.0 port I'd been using on a faster USB card reader. This was Jim's suggestion (simply to try a different port), and it worked. He gave the time to try to save me having to return it, and you can't beat that. My music is now copying to my Zune. Thanks Jim! Our library is the biggest of these that have literally hundreds of thousands of different products represented. Your instrument cluster is designed to let you know at a glance how your vehicle is running. You’ll know how fast you’re going, about how much fuel you have and many other things you’ll need to know to drive safely and economically. Your odometer shows how far your vehicle has been driven, in either miles (used in the United States) or kilometers (used in Canada). Engine Hour Meter Display The Driver Information Center (DIC) can also display the number of hours the engine has run. A label on your sun visor says, “Never put a rear-facing child seat in the front.” This is because the risk to the rear-facing child is so great, if the airbg deploys. The battery display will also stay on while the key is in RUN until the engine is started. If the light stays on after starting the engine it could indicate a problem with the generator drive belt, or some other charging system problem. This condition is normal since the charging system is not able to provide full power at engine idle. It may take longer to stop. If the light is still on, have the vehicle towed for service.
It also provides an indicator of how hard your vehicle is working.Pull the vehicle off the roadway when it is safe to do so. A CHECK TIRE PRESSURE DIC message will accompany the light.
