It does show how to remove panels, where components are located and wiring diagrams but is missing the information I expect from a Bentley manual. For example, to replace a head gasket I would expect to find torque bolt values or an engine trouble light comes on the manual would show fault trees for each code and how to diagnose and test the components. If you want to better understand some of the simple things about your car beyond your owner's manual this service does provide more information like replacing a head light, changing the oil, and how to remove interior panels. I found a digital manual on ebay that requires a PC to use. It's similar to AllData.It is expensive, but it's the only game in town if you need documentation of your Audi A6; and if you're going to work on it, you need documentation, believe me. Using this manual takes some study, especially when it comes to the wiring diagrams, which are the primary reason I bought it. The wiring diagrams are very detailed and are in a format that is new to me. I had to study them thoroughly before I understood them well enough for them to be helpful to me. I recommend this book to anyone who needs it, because there is no alternative. It is a bad idea to try to work on an Audi without this tool.I was expecting a service manual. I needed a book that would guide me through repairs. This book has a lot of descriptions and facts of the Audi but not of repairs. It doesn't tell you how to remove an engine. It describes the engine. It is of limited use to me. It was a very expensive error for me.
I like having the torque specs the most and all the fluid capacities. Wiring diagrams are very useful as well. Although, most of the information in this manual can be found online with a little time spent researching.Its worth the money if you want an extra resource for fixing your car.Finally I decided to purchase a manual that somewhat covers my car. I was in it mostly for the electrical drawings and although it does not specifically cover my car, for other things such as part location, it was adequate for finding where the crankshaft sensor was located. I had to follow the connector for the sensor down to behind the engine, feeling my way until I felt what I thought was the sensor. So it served its purpose.Good for general maintenance, but that's about it. Expensive, but given other options, I would still buy this manual for an Audi over others.It's got lots of pages full of information on other stuff, but didn't have much info on the problems I was having with my Allroad. The check engine light would always come on and the error codes would say it was a sensor issue, but when the sensors were replaced the errors would continue. If you like bloody knuckles buy this and work on your car.My model is a 1998 A6 Quattro wagon. Several places, primarily in the electrical stuff, it misses my model or the picts do not show whats really in my car. Diagrams start with 1999. Also, no picts to show where windows system breakers are located for this model. A pict and diagram shows them to be under the drivers foot well, but after taking my panels off, its no where to be seen. Great introduction section in the beginning of the manual to discuss differences between models, years, and options. Good functional info on transmissions and engines there too. So far, its the best there is out there, but as most all these type books, they fall short. It is worth it for the info and diagrams it does contain.Very disappointing. Lacks huge amounts of detail.

I'd say for my 02 allroad it was about 95 complete. Even with it missing a few pages I have never gotten stuck as there is a lot of info in forums regarding torque values and other DIYs. It's cheap on eBay so I guess you get what you pay for. If I didn't have this already and were to buy a manual I would get Bentley. Seems like the most widely used and respected manual.
